Photographer's Note

It is a bit difficult to believe, but according to tradition and verbally told stories from father to son for generations – this is the ancient Abraham-Well in Be’er-Sheva.
The story goe’s back in history and believed by the three main religions:
According to the book of Genesis, when Abraham first came to Beersheva, he dug a well and planted a Tamarix tree. Despite its location on the edge of the desert, Beersheva is a veritable wet oasis.

Today, there is a modern visitors complex around the well, with an audiovisual presentation. The Well is 13.6m deep.
