Sand dune from Oman Photo

Photographer’s Note

We just come back from a trip from Oman on the south-eastern part of the Arabian peninsula. We discovered a wide variety of landscapes, far more important than we expected : Wadi, mangrove, desert, sea shores, Fjords, Oasis... This less than 3 million people country is really a jewel with a good balance between modernity and rich History.

Here, I introduce you a large sand dune we met on the road from the Wahiba desert to Ras Al Jinz where we planned to observe Turtles on the sea shore. We were few kilometers from the sea and I was struck by the perfectly shaped dune and its graphic pattern. We just left our camp from the desert few hours before where I jailed to catch the kind of landscape I expected. We had to leave the desert behind us to meet what I dreamt about.

photo a lot interesting, realized in superb way. Framing, saturation of the colors, clearness and contrast are excellent. Fantastic the way in which the line of dunes cuts the image in diagonal.

Excellent capture of two difficult colors under harsh light. Great result with two different tones of dune with magnificently clear sky. You saw the shapes and scene very cleverly. Congratulations.

Superbe composition de 3 tons. Le contraste entre le bleu et l'orange est superbe. La courbe de la dune aide a tirer l'oeil en haut et ajoute de la profondeur. Il y a deux minuscules objets sur la dune que j'aurais peut-être supprimé.

Wow, I like the simplicity of this, the minimalism of jut the dune and the sky. Pure shape and colour for us to enjoy, with no distractions. That S-curve is very seductive and interesting. Great colour combination too. Well done!

What can i say but get dumbstruck seeing the photograph of sand dune and sky so contrasting - thats what get out the beauty of nature
