The country of Oman is split into two seperate regions, with Musact located in the larger portion, and the town of Kasab in the other. Kasab sits on the gulf waters at the entrance into the Arabian Gulf, and has many Dubai residents visiting there over week-ends. It is only a two hour drive from Dubai, and one is able to hire a local dhow which will take you for snorkling and diving excursions into some of the purest waters you can find.
I spent a night at the Golden Tullip Hotel which is totally secluded right on the waters edge. Here I viewed the surrounding bay and mountains, in the reflection of the hotel windows. |
