Bonsoir Stéphane,

Sujet à polémique le port du voile... Comme tu le dis difficile à comprendre mais je ne vais pas rentrer dans le débat, je vais me contenter de commenter ta photo, belle lumière qui donne une fort contraste entre le premier plan formé par la tenue noire de cette femme et la gente masculine en blanc. Informatif comme ta photo en WS, merci Stéphane.

Hi Stephane, I have just comeback from Algeria, from the campament of refugees of the Sahara people and I got the same feeling. I respect, of course, I´m nobody to tell how to live, but It´s also difficult to understand for me. I love how you have put her among men without any veil.

J'aime bien les trois photos et ne saurais laquelle choisir...elles sont toutes différentes et chacune à son attrait.
Est ce que dans ce pays, la femme doit sortir accompagnée d'un homme de la famille?

P.S je pars lundi en France, car je dois aller voir ma mère qui ne va pas bien du tout! je pense rester +ou- 1 mois et demi, je ne sais pas exactement...je serai donc un peu dans le centre et ensuite resterai dans la région parisienne.

The lady in black is surrounded by men in white which is another contrast apart from the fact the men of course do not make themselves wear the veil. The light from the right works well to highlight the folds in the black. Well done. Interesting complementary images too.

Tout d'abord c'est une image choc avec un contraste, une PDC et une netteté saisissants.
Ensuite, ta note en dit beaucoup en peu de mots, c'est très bien vu !

An interesting portrait, also the two photos in the WS. It's a photo of contrasts between the fore- and background, the lady and the men. You handled the light very well. Good photo work!

Une belle lumière et un cadrage serré pour nous faire entrer encore plus dans cette photo. Cette photo en N&B est intrigante comme pour renforcer cette impression seul les morceaux de peau apportent une note de couleur

Lorsque j'étais petit ma mère me disais: Si t'es pas sage la dame masquée va te bouffer :)
Le noir difficile à photographier normalement l'image aurait été surexposée, tu as bien compensé l'exposition.

It is interesting to see the different types of veils that are being used in different places and your WS was very helpful in showing more details.You managed this shot well considering the amount of black and the tones are nicely achieved inorder to bring out the form. Well done!!

Black against white...you spotted & singled her out, made her stand out with focus & DOF. Her burkha allows only her eyes to be seen. Appreciate this & your WS shots in the crowded place...well done!

I'm wondering if this mask has been there for many years or are new, in the personal I never seen this kind of mask before,looks very shocking to me, this is one of the things then need g get out of this world, wow, your picture is wonderful makes me feel pity and sad to this women, I like the three pics but at the same time I feel so bad for them.

Incroyable Stéphane cette photo, elle est superbe en *couleurs* ! Tes 2 WS sont aussi très intéressants, j'ai vu de semblables masques dans le sud de l'Iran (sur la côte du golfe Persique, à Bandar-e-Abbâs) qui est en fait tout près !
Une photo très intéressante et très belle à la fois, je l'ajoute à mes 2è favoris !

je viens de m'arrêter un long moment sur tes photos d'Oman que je trouve très belles.Ces pays ont quelque chose de fascinant et indescriptible!J'adorerais y aller,oui,mais voilà,cette femme masquée me donne le sentiment que ce n'est pas encore le moment pour moi!Comment je serais perçue?Il faudrait s'habiller comme ça,mais pour marcher dasns la montagne,ce ne serais pas pratique,et comment résister aux baignades dans les oasis paradisiaques?En tout cas,ta photo est superbe et interessante!Je ne conaissais pas le port du masque!La lumière est bien gérée,noir sur fond blanc,ce n'était sûrement pas facile,et tu t'en est parfaitement sorti,car tous les détails sont bien visibles!J'aime beaucoup!
