Photographer's Note
UPDATE:
Causalities: Over 1,000 people in Israel have been wounded by Palestinian rockets and mortars fired from the Gaza Strip since 2001, including Israelis, Palestinians and foreign workers.
source: SdetrotMedia.com
According to the Ministry of Health in Gaza and the ICRC reports, about 1,400 people were killed and more than 5,600 wounded during the last conflict (23 days brother!!!). Many of the seriously injured will be marked for life. Thousands of Gazans remain homeless, about 300,000 have no access to piped water and the sewerage network in parts of Gaza has been badly damaged. In addition, the population is facing the danger posed by explosive remnants of war, and this could also complicate the work of humanitarian organizations.
Let's play with the numbers Mr thor68! Play with it. Play with the phosporius bombs, and defend yourself. If your soldiers will kill all the palestinian kids ... no more problem ... no more terrorist! They can do it! 'cause your goverment let them to do it.
Why not? Anyone from the world can say NO?
No way. You have right to send jets to Iran and destroy the nuclear facilities, cause YOU think is will be dangerous. But your country have a right to keep nuclear weapons, ' cause the selfdefense.
NICE GAME. GOOD or WELL. or ORWELL Mr.thor68 ?
WAR=PEACE - FREEDOM=SLAVERY ...
or stay an other book: You know, Orwell: Animal Farm

Really I do not like to answer some of the comments. I do not like it 'cause these comments are coming from something like "collectiv paranoia".
But some interesting link:

Hi Bogart!
So awful, but thanks for reminding us of the terrible war going on there! In the news, it just seems to be a repeated series about the sadness of conflicts all over! But your picture really takes our hearts!
Such a look of hope in the eyes though?
TFS.

hello bogart,
you document something of great value.
you document hell!
it is so sad to see children who are victims of war.
i think your photos do not attract the attention they deserve. but somebody needs to document and these scenes to the world.

There is nothing aesthetically contrived about this shot - and that is a compliment to the photographer.....you simply show an effect on a young child - as it is.
best wishes Kev
