Photographer’s Note
This is a scene of the old fishing boats against the modern sky line of DOHA City in Qatar.
When I took this shot it was in the afternoon and was very bright, but I was in DOHA for only a day. I know it was a little over exposed.

Hi Andrew, A nice contrast between the new and old boats. Good DOF to show the foreground as well as the background. I agree with you that the photo is a little over exposed. You may consider to use a filter for a very bright environment.

Hi Andrew. It's the contrast in boats that do it for me too, but also the old textures of the focal boat against the modern hi rises of the city. I tried a workshop just to see if the exposure levels could be taken down a little bit.

Yep, overcooked. However, I do like the contrast between the rusting hulk and the gleaming towers, i think that's what you had in mind, good idea. Now get right back out there and crank that aperture down a couple of stops!
Best to you,
Matt

Yo Andrew. It's overcooked.
Anyway, this is the result of the negative after been scanned into digital media. But when you got it print-out, in digital color print paper, you would not get such effect. It will be probably better. What you can do is try to have this negative processed into photo and then scan the photo into digital media. Then try to view it from your computer. It will give better colour and exposure, if you got the correct exposure while shoting this shot.
Well done.
Eric Lai.

Sure this place is dominated by a very strong sun :)))
The very typical boats are very interesting and well catched here.
I also like the contrast between these buildings and thos boats being used for centuries.
Compliment

its bit over exposed and more noisy as well. You can probably use NeatImage tool to smoothen the picture. because of this, there is no depth in the picture.
