Photographer’s Note
The seriously endangered Somali Wild Ass (Equus asinus somalicus): sanding at around 1.2m at the shoulder/weighing around 180kg; the smallest & rarest of all the wild equine related species in the world.
Photo taken from my visit to the Al Wabra Wildlife Preservation Centre(AWWP), Qatar. The centre has been successful in breeding the wild ass along with many other endangered animals.
