Photographer’s Note

Hacc yapmak; İslam’ın beş şartından biridir.Tabii biz onca uzak yoldan gittiğimiz için bizde "hacca gitmek" oldu. Haccın da iki esası vardır. Birincisi Arafat’ta vakfe yapmak(olmak, durmak, dua etmek), ikincisi ise Kabe’yi tavaf etmek... Hac ibadeti İslamın en zor ibadetidir. Hem maddi hem de bedeni bir ibadettir. Durumu uygun olmayanlara -yeterli maddi gücü olmayanlara- farz kılınmamıştır. Peygamberimiz Hz. Muhammet Hacc ibadetine başlarken şöyle dua edermiş. “Allahım hacc ibadetini benim için kolaylaştır ve kabul et”. Zira insan çok fazla yürüyor, yoruluyor. Hacc için gelen insanlar birkaç milyonu bulduğu için çok kalabalık oluyor. O nedenle çok sabırlı olmak gerekiyor. Yalnız haccın fazileti şu “kişi annesinden doğduğu gibi günahsız olur, günahları affedilir” bir tek istisnası var; o da kul hakkı...

The Kaaba: "Cube" is a cuboidal building located inside the al-Masjid al-Haram mosque in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. The mosque was built around the original Kaaba. The qibla, the direction Muslims face during prayer, is the direction from their location on Earth towards the Kaaba. It is around the Kaaba that ritual circumambulation is performed by Muslims during the Hajj (pilgrimage) season as well as during the Umrah (lesser pilgrimage).

The Kaaba is the holiest place in Islam. It is at least thousands of years old, and according to Islamic tradition, dates back to the time of Abraham (Ibrahim).

This setting of the Kaaba across the star shaped hole, which you have used as frame, is a great idea, and has given you a great graphical result.
The long exposure creates a good dynamic effect of the pilgrims who turn about the Kaaba.
It is a very creative and interesting work.
