| Umayad Masjid is a holy place for the shias. When I visited it, lots of pilgrims (many of them from Iran) were there to do some religious cermeonies and some recitings of their holy book. |

Un bon cliché qui me rappelle de bons souvenirs. Je me suis retrouvée revetue d'un burnous tout noir pendant la visite.

Impressive place, Daniel. Quite an effective contrast bettween all the white marble of the architecture and the dark clothes of the pilgrims. How easy is to travel in Syria, independentely? If that was your case...because I found Jordan very dificult and renting a car was the only option for me.
