Photographer’s Note
The library of Celsus, in Ephesus, Asia Minor (Anatolia, now Turkey), was built in honor of Tiberius Julius Celsus Polemaeanus (completed in 135 C.E.) by Celsus’ son, Gaius Julius Aquila (consul, 110 C.E.). Celsus had been consul in 92 C.E., governor of Asia in 115 C.E., and a wealthy and popular local citizen.
The library was built to store 12,000 scrolls and to serve as a monumental tomb for Celsus. It was unusual to be buried within a library or even within city limits, so this was a special honor for Celsus.

Hi ALin
This geenral view is better than your last post, great sky over the famous monument and a hard light well controlled, the many people animate the view and provide scale, funnily many white/blue T-shirts and a single red one standing out !
Have a nice day JY

Hello Alin,
This is a site that is on my 'must see' list!
It looks to be a hot sunny day and you have controlled the light well. The details are well exposed.
The people are all part of such a famous, historical site and they add human interest as well as giving a sense of scale to the imposing building.
Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hello Alin,
Good point of view to emphasize interesting archeological site. The light is well managed and this blue sky creates a good contrast with the color of the stone. Beautiful and interesting photograph, thank you Alin.
With all my friendships and a very good evening,
