Photographer's Note

Butterfly Valley is a short boat ride from Oludeniz beach and there is a plethora of tour boats on the beach at 9 am waiting for tourists from Oludeniz Hisarönü & Fethiye. This is the beach at Butterfly Bay. The shack on the hill at right sells cold drinks (beer, cola, fanta, sprite) and there is a wooden stairs up to it and a platform overlooking this delightful bay.

The butterfly species include the Jersey tiger (Euplagia quadripunctaria rhodosensis). Butterflies of many varieties in a wide range of colors can be observed in the valley between June and September."
