Photographer’s Note
Whilst walking in the Ihlara Valley, we came to an area with restaurants. This caught my eye! What a lovely way to each lunch and cool your feet after a long hike on a hot day.
Ihlara Valley is close to the town of Aksaray and is a fertile gorge cut by what was a deep river between red cliffs and is some 18km long. It is the most beautiful place. If you are interested, there are interesting churches and rock-cut houses to explore. Along with this there is the natural beauty of the flora and fauna of the area too.
It is becoming a tourist trap so if you can visit independently you would see much more.
