Photographer’s Note
This photo was taken on the day I moved from the prefecture of Nevsehir to the prefecture of Konya. I passed through the prefecture of Aksaray for a first visit at famous Ihlara Valley (in greek, "κοιλάδα του Χλωρού"="koilada tou Hlorou"="Hlorou Valley" or "Κοιλάδα του Περιστρέμματος"="koilada tou Peristrematos"=Peristrema Valley", with "Peristrema" being a beautiful village, almost in the middle of the Valley, nowadays called "Belisirma"). One more visit followed in the next days.
That day the weather was afwully bad, varying from outcast to heavy clouds, with lots of rain. But suddenly, when the end of the day was aproaching, a little bit before sunset, a "window" opened on the sky to the west, offering a shining, golden light to the valley while the rest of the place remained under heavy clouds. That was trully a great "gift"!
The Ihlara Valley, is on the southwest corner of the imaginary triangle that forms Cappadocia, but quite far from its "heart", which is around Goreme. That's why it's not so crowded as the other valleys of Cappadocia, although it's a place of extreme natural beauty, and great historical and cultural significance. I hope that I'll have the chance to write more info about that special place in some future post.

Hello Hercules,
The golden light is so beautiful, it makes even these hard rocks seem soft and welcoming. Love the composition with the green valley in the FG, the dark blue sky hanging over the cliffs, and the tiny little house on the right. Lucky boy there with this moment! Have a nice afternoon, Dasha

Hi Hercules,
fantastic light and colors.
I like very much the fragment of landscape which you have chosen: your composition is brilliant. The trees in the center have a whole variety of shapes and sizes, and they look like a secret garden hidden between the mountains.
Rock colors and formations seem incredible and they are surely enhances by the warm light.
The contrast between the well illuminated land and the dark sky is great,
Excellent work,
M

Hola Hercules.

Geia sou Hrakli,
It is great for the photographer when the sun makes us the enjoyment to come a quite small moment to shine a mat day.
You magnificently took advantage of this moment with this golden light and the shade which plays in the valley around trees and rocks.
