Photographers Note
Again a shot from central Anatolia of seventies.
Here you see part of a small garden in the backyard of a typical wooden house (walls made of mudbrick).
Two women sitting there under the shade of a tent coverede with dried leaves.
One is working on a very simple loom in the background. Most probably weaving a small carpet or something similar. The other one is looking to a passerby or whatsoever; but she was spinning her yarn on the very simple spinning wheel in the center of the picture, before I made this shot.
Like in case of all similar shots, I was no more allowed to make further pictures, when they noticed me.
Just a notice to all my TE friends. All my negatives are been archived properly and I have put at that time three notices on each individual envelope : the year I made the picture , shutter speed and the "f" value. I didn't make any notices on where the pictures was been made, but thanks god I've still a proper working brain, and can recollect necessary information !

Merhaba Sayın Hocam,
Yine harika bir belge. Bu görüntüyü yedi-sekiz yaşlarındayken köyümüzden hatırlıyorum. Yün nasıl eğirilir, halı nasıl dokunulur her şeyi detaylarıyla anlatan bir kopozisyon. Ellerinize ve yüreğinize sağlık...
Selam ve saygılarımla...

Hallo Mesut.

Hello Mesut,
Another excellent historical photo. Can you imagine kids today with their Ipods, cell phones, and "blackberries" relating to what these highly skilled but "low-tech" ladies are doing for a living? Great photo!

Hallo Mesut!
You show us photos from another world - only 35 years ago. Incredible! Middle Ages seem to be not far away. There are so many details in your picture, very interesting! I think, the word "stress" doesn't play a role in the lives of these women...
Thank you for showing this, and have a nice weekend!
Greetings from warm (26°C) and sunny Germany!

Beautiful old historical black and white photo of these women working at their timeless old craft. Wonderful details and an excellent look at something that is no longer seen.
