Photographer’s Note
My second trip to Turkey is coming to an end. I 've been here for 11 days, one more to go. I mainly moved throughout the area of Cappadocia (mainly Nevsehir district), but I also visited nearby districts, including Konya (in greek, "Ικόνιο"= "Ikonio").
In Konya, I couldn't miss the majestic Mevlana Museum with its fabulous, turqoise, conical dome where the tomb of famous poet, mystic and spiritual "father" of the dervishes, Celaleddin Rumi (Mevlana), is located.
In the background, on the left side of the picture, you can also see the Selimiye Camii (Mosque), built between 1566 and 1574, when Sultan Selim II, was governor of Konya.

This shot, taken yesterday night, was a quite "adventurous" one. I was waiting for the "blue" hour to come, sitting in a small amphitheatre inside the beautiful garden of the museum. The right time came at around 17:20 and then i packed my tripod and my camera. When I tried to leave through the main gate, it was closed and nobody was there to open it. The museum had closed since 17:00. So, I had to climb the stone enclosure of the garden and leave like a thief.
PS.I have to add some of the most beautiful verses, by Mevlana, this great teacher of love, that knows no boundaries, national or religious, cited below, by my dear friend, Mesut:
"Come, come, whoever you are.
Wonderer, worshipper, lover of leaving.
It doesn't matter.
Ours is not a caravan of despair.
Come, even if you have broken your vow a thousand times
Come, yet again, come, come."
Even being a day late, I would like to wish to all the people of Turkey, many happy and prosperous years for their Republic!

Hi dear Hercules !
I did know it, but didn'd expect that you would start to post to TE !
Amazing nocturnal capture from Iconium, now Konya. Your start with this scene has a great symbolic value for me. As Mevlana was and is a great man in regard to the concensus within the humanity.
One of his short poems is allway been my motto. Here it is :
Come, come, whoever you are.
Wonderer, worshipper, lover of leaving.
It doesn't matter.
Ours is not a caravan of despair.
Come, even if you have broken your vow a thousand times
Come, yet again, come, come.
Therefore I appreciate very much, that your first entry from your second trip starts with Konya.
Thank you very much my dear friend.
Warmest regards

Hi Hercules,
truly spectacular blue hour shot. I love the exotic architecture, so rich and colorful! It is a beautiful and very interesting place.
You have as usually perfect blue hour timing: the sky is in the perfect balance with the artificial illumination.
Congratulations
