Photographer’s Note

Her nedense Nevşehir deyince akla hep Kapadokya yada peribacaları gelir. Oysa Hacıbektaş isimli bir ilçesi ve orada yüzyıllar önce yaşamış Hacı Bektaşı Veli adında değerli bir kişi vardır. Pekçok anlamlı sözü, uyarısı vardır:
"Hele günümüz insanının kulağına küpe olacak, bir sözü vardırki "Eline, beline, diline hakim ol."
İnsan şöyle bir düşününce, ülkemizde/dünyada meydana gelen olayların aslında bu üç şeye sahip olunamadığından kaynaklandığı açıktır. Benden de hatırlatması...

Hacı Bektaş-ı Veli, is born in Nisabur, Horasan in Iran in 1281 B.C. He spent his childhood in Horasan and studied philosophy, social sciences and science at Hoca Ahmet Yesevi Center. After traveling in Iran, Iraq and Arabia, he settled in Hacıbektaş previously called Sulucakarahöyük in 1308 B.C. He developed his philosophy there and started to train students. His philosophy, based on tolerance and the love of people, was accepted by the public in Cappadocia, the center of Christianity at the time. Some of his principles were:

* Search and find
* Educate the women
* Even if you are hurt, don't hurt
* Sages are pure sometimes purifiers
* First stage of attainment is modesty
* Whatever you look for, search in you
* Don't forget even your enemy is human
* Control your hand, your word, your lust,
* Beauty of human is in the beauty of his words
* Prophets and saints are God's gift to humanity
* Road that doesn't go through science is perilous
* Don't try to find faults neither in nation nor individual
* How nice to ones who put light in the darkness of thought
* Don't do anything to anyone if you don't want it to be done to you.

Merhaba Ahmet,

Notunuzda yazdiginiz gibi Kapadokyanin adini duyan peri bacalarini düsünür, fakat sözlerinizle beraber hem Nevsehir'i hem de Hacı Bektaş-ı Veli'yi biraz daha iyi taniyoruz. Ne kadar ileri mantikli bir adammis bundan yedi yüz evvel.

That is a very good philosophy by which to live your life. Good mixture of urban and rural in the image. I like the WS framed by the arch too.

Wonderfully done and very educational. I continue to be very enlighten by the compositions of Turkey and its history. Your composition is intereting architecture, nature and educational notes. I have been reading a interesting article in this months Smithsonian Magazine about Turkey, as well.

The exellent detail in the foregound and the clouds gives such an excellent DOF that the pictures appears three dimensinal. This philosopy clearly stands the test of time, the principles are still useful
