Photographer’s Note

A capture I made almost 45 years ago in June-July.
Two sisters on the field where their parents and grandparents were been collecting the wheat crop.
A B&W version with the whole group can be seen at WS . At those times people in Anatolia were not been too shy (regarding being photographied) as they are today.
A "those were the days" entry !

Bu kare'yi 45 sene evvel Anadolu'nun göbeğinde, Güründe çekmişim. Ailesi tarlada buğday hasadını toplarken küçük kız kardeşini oyalayan bir abla.
WS de ailenin tamamını görmek mümkün.
O günlerin Anadolu'sunun insanları, fotoğraflarının çekilmesi konusunda bugünküler kadar tutucu değillerdi.

Hi Mesut,
A fine tenderness between these sisters. Interesting picture from a long time ago, actually the motive looks older than 45 years. This is a very timeless capture. The scan and the colours are excellent!

Kayıpsınız birkaç gündür sağlığınız yerinde değil mi ?
Herhalde sonradan renklendirmişsinizdir keşke şu zamanda da bu kardeşleri bulup fotoğraflayabilseniz kimbilir ne yapıyorlardır şimdi. WS'siyle o güzel aileyle birlikte çok hoş kompozisyonlar yakalamışsınız . Ablanın çıplak ayaklarını görünce üzüldüm çok , hala ayakkabısı olmayan o kadar çok çocuk varki , yıllar geçse de bazı gerçekler değişmiyor maalesef.

Nice scene and very good quality given the age, oh young Mesut did not take care of cut feet, of course TE did not exist at this time ;-)

This baby looks very heavy, the big sister seems to be struggling to hold. An interesting capture and I also enjoy seeing the WS. I wonder where these kids are today. TFS

Fantastic double portrait! Wow, taken 45 years ago! It's real documentary photo! great framing, simple but excellent composition, great light managment! Congratulations and thanks for sharing with us such important work!

Gürün'ü görmüştüm,biliyorsunuz.O mümüklü ufaklığın tatlılığına bakın..!Uzun süredir fotorğaflarınızı takip ediyorum,ama yorum yapamıyorum fazla bu aralar.Malum,yoğunluk yüzünden...Numara serinize bayıldığımı söylemek isterim.İzzet Keribar bey'in bi kaç fotorğafını da hatırlatıverdi bu arada.
Gürün Kayseri değil de sanki Sivas'a bağlıydı.Ben mi yanlış anımsıyorum yoksa.Bilgilendirirseniz sevinirim.
