Photographer’s Note
Sorry but in the end, I've posted in a WS that "postcard" with the Ararat mountain announced yesterday (it is here : => with small herds of ‘fat-tailed sheep’ in the FG) : it could have more success than this one which is not that stricking, but it’s just not my style of photo, as if something was missing, - feeling, soul or atmosphere probably).
Instead, here is a very normal, typical daily life view of the landscapes near the border with Georgia where I’ll return soon : it reminds me of the vast, barren mountains and the steppes in high altitude (the same can be seen till China or till Pakistan, through all central Asia and Iran).
(You might like also another photo : a baby horse walking near his mother).
+ Some photos that I posted of people and various animals from that area here.
... A 4th and last landscape photo for the time being, then 2 (hopefully) last photos before my departure to Turkey.

sevgili cath,
sevgiyle kal,

Hi dear Cath, you loved the ladscape.. i was posting landscpes in my first days on TE.. but your last postings are very different and has a great atmosphere with the daylight.. for instance here the mountaind and their diagonal scene looks great in fog i think.. and upper side is more enlightened and sharp.. this makes your photo very impressive.. i like it,
Best wishes,
ReLa

There is a filmmaker I particulary enjoy, David Lean. This way of framing could belong to "Doctor Zhivago" for instance, so small in front of nature, giving to the image a epic dimension so beautifull. Thanks Cath.

Hello Catherine,
But there is soul and atmosphere even in this picture, although at a distance. In my mind, it takes me back 38 years to my first trip to Turkey: exactly these views of the lovely shades on the hills, the cattle and the farmers beside the road. And postcards aren't always bad!
Kindest regards,
Gert

Bonjour Catherine,
A bientôt. Amitiés,
Marianne

Bella foto!

Hi Cath
Seems like a shot from a hollywood movie.
I like the wide framing and minimalistic effect in this frame.
Brilliant capature.Godd contrast between the huge mountains and the small horses.
Congrats and TFS !

Bonjour Catherine,

hi Cath
No buildings, just rolling hills and country with horse cart and flat plains. You were at the right spot to capture this fine pov.
The light is just great with this exposure with shadows on the hills but which still provide details.
A great landscape job. One of your best.
