Photographer’s Note

Laughing, and even more laughing, specially with the girl on the right whom I got to know better as I had dinner at her home (the other one : very shy !)

Fun to have a very close look at each others' faces and to laugh together with no words, to discover another world in the others' eyes.

... More fun, and eyes more visible in the (B&W, imperfect) next photo, with the boy seen in the far BG who had joined us.

Salut Catherine! Cute - les deux mademoiselles :))) and it looks like it was a pretty windy day when you had them in front of your lense. This all seems very natural to me and I like it that way but maybe you had a lot to do with the two until they held still ... I mean girls, takes some time until they are ready :))))))) ... Barbara.

those turkish kids are something... it seems, posing for photographies come oh so natural for them. or... might it be that you're a master of encouraging them to open up for you? (do you speak turkish, by the way?). fantastic smiles and a photo full of youthfull energy, but what i like most is their hairstyles...

You have a talent for picking out the character of your subject and sharing that with us. These girls look both unique and like girls everywhere, laughing and giggling and in the world of their own friendship. You have a picture of another two girls entitled "The Secret." These two pictures represent a wonderful economic contrast (I'm guessing here) of the lives of four Turkish girls. I look forward to any other pictures you have of the lives of girls.
