Photographer’s Note
Centre of the pretty town of Osmaneli, Bilecik province, Western Turkey.
This small town, which before World War I was populated by Turks and Greeks, was known under its Greek name "Lefke". There are still plenty of houses from the late Ottoman period. Some of them were carefully restored in recent years.
Osmaneli, situated conveniently on the high way from Istanbul to Eskisehir-Konya-Antalya and the railroad to Ankara, has much to offer to tourists who like to see an old town, but is not often visited.
The electricity cables are always a nuisance to the photographer in Turkish towns, but since they are part of the reality I did not photoshop them away.
