Photographer's Note

The oldest examples of the bird houses can be seen around Anatolia regions and can be dated back to the 1300s.
The bird houses have found a place to themselves at every kind of building, representing the routines of life like houses, villas, castles, mosques, madrasah, shops and mousoleums.

They were normally placed to the upper parts of the walls and under the roof tops and therefore protected from the external conditions like rain and wind.

The bird houses can be made of assorted materials and stones (marble, sandstone etc.)
As well as bricks and tiles. They can be in the form of a basic hole or deluxe houses and palaces.
