Photographer's Note

Istanbul was only a one day stop on my way back from Syria and Jordan, too little time to really appreciate it, but enough to taste the atmosphere. After Syria it was disappointingly less oriental than I'd once imagined it, yet I enjoyed every minute I spent there. It is becoming more and more modern, yet there are enough places that remind us of its rich history-history that Istanbul will never - hopefully- be able to escape.
I don't really know what you can see in the photo- just a view I spotted during my walk, as far as I remember around the tomb of Suleyman the Great.
I thought that perhaps sepia or B&W tones might be more appropriate for the title, i might try it later, for now just the original version...
