Goksu River and Valley is one of the beauties of Turkey and Mersin. You can do rafting and trekking. It's lenght is 260 km. In 1190, while on the Third Crusade, Frederick I, Holy Roman Emperor (Frederick Barbarossa) drowned in the river, then known as Saleph. A monument in his honor is on the road Silifke-Mut.
