Photographer's Note

Another shot from Sagalossus, a former Roman capital of Galatia (Pisidia) that was abandoned after it was destroyed by 2 earthquakes, the first in 518 AD, followed by a plague which halved the remaining population, then a second more devastating earthquake around 650 ad, when it was abandoned permanently. The ruins are situated between 1450–1700 metres above sea level. More info here from Wiki:
