Photographer's Note

16mm balık gözü lens ile yarı / yarıya diye tabir ettiğimiz bir çekim.. suyun içinde ayakta durarak lensin yarısı suyun altında, yarısı suyun üstünde kalacak şekilde kullanarak gerçekleşiyor... SLR makinelerde 16mm, digital SLR makinelerde ise 10,5mm balık gözü lens kullanılarak yapılıyor... burada dikkat edilmesi gereken suyun hareketi... ufak dalgaların hareketini kontrol ederek suyun 16mm lens için kullandığımız dome portun yüzeyini etkileyecek şekilde porta çarpmamasını sağlamak lazım..

we call these kind of shots: "half & half"...
the fish eye lences (16mm for SLR and 10,5mm for DSLR)must be used ... I was in the stand-up position in the 1.50 or 1.80 mt deep sea level... and the important thing for the photographer is to be careful for the waves not to cover up the dome port during the shooting.
My equipment was Sea &Sea NX 80 housing for Nikon F-80 and Sea& Sea dome port for Nikkor 16mm fish eye...
also I had one 120 and one 90 Sea & Sea flashes with the long arms but had no need for this shot..

Great shot. Real thought has gone into the composition and the whole thing comes together very well.

The different colors of outside and inside the water is great. The area in between is amazing. I bet its a lot harder to take underwater shots, but u did it :)

Gerçekten de yapılması zor, ve teknigi bilmeden cehilmesi imkansız bir fotograf. Burada benim anlayamadığım tek şey denizin göğe göre daha koyu olmasından kaynaklanıyor. Halbuki fotografta her iki bölüm normal ışıklı gibi. Bilgisayarda alt bölüm açılıyor mu yoksa ben mı yanılıyorum ?
How come the sea is as bright as the sky in this one ?

I love these kinds of shots. Thanx for the tips on equipment. I have the 10.5 Nikkor but I think I'll get a less expensive camera than my D200 to go in the housing. Maybe the D80. I have film underwater cameras but I hate having to go up 36 shots later. Was the boat so pink?
