Photographer’s Note
Zabid is a medieval city in Tihama, west province of Yemen. It was the capital of Yemen and a center of the arab science and education thanks to it famous Univesity of Zabid. It is said that the word "Algebra" (arab. Al-Jabr) was coined in that university. Nowadays the UNESCO does the battle with the desert, to keep the town for the next generations.
