Hi Michele, Good shot from one of my favorite places. I like the inlcusion of the daily life items, the scales and nuts, although it may have been better if he was a bit to the left and more of the scales were shown. Good detail visible in the typical Yemeni headdress. cheers, Steve

Technically sound and with an excellent subject, this might nevertheless not be one of your best portraits. The composition is very central and somewhat imbalanced, and I dislike the open mouth revealing that you might have captured your subject in the middle of a conversation. It is not the most faltering detail in a picture. What do you think of a left crop to a square format, for a better balance? The scale and seeds clutter the frame a bit, but also have a positive contribution to the image and would be at this time impossible to remove.
