Photographer’s Note
That is the name of a novel by Jeffrey Archer which I liked a lot.
Now this, is a view of Hodeida's old turkish quarter from the seafront. On this particular area, there is an empty terrain on the seafront with some huts where some poor people live.
I wasn't very happy with Hodeida photographically speaking until I came to photograph the city skyline from this angle.

LOOOL, this is an immigrant crow!. So he also found the Turkish square over there :))
We sometimes may not be in our photographic moods indeed. I know myself very well, the times i take out my camera, and turn back home even without taking it out of its bag. Hodeida looks like a marvellous place, at least for stranger's eyes. Your unhappiness about the place may be due to the satisfaction of your photographic eye. Otherwise, it looks like a true place for photography. The crow is too much centered btw.

Ciao, Daniel,
A very nice shot with nice soft colours. I like the skyline and the crow, of course:)

It's an interesting view of the city skyline Daniel, and although at first I wasn't too keen on the inclusion of so much of the wall/ barrier at the bottom, now it's starting to grow on me.
Of course it's the crow that brings the image to life - if only it had been flying a bit higher so you could have caught it against the sky instead of overlapping the buildings slightly. Never mind.
Yemen looks a fascinating place - I must try and go there one day.
Cheers,
Ben

Daniel,
This part of Al Hudaydah looks very interesting from
your POV, even though I'm not quite so happy with the
bottom part (as I have no clue what it represents?).
The unlucky (I dare to say) appearance of the crow that
also happens to be in the very centre is somehow softened
by its large part actually being contrasted with
the sky AND also by the appearance of another bird further
in the BG (left of minaret).
The light that brings true colour out of these ancient
walls is feast for my eyes!
