Photographer’s Note
He really is a butcher. I took a picture of him in the market at Zabid in the meat section. I found his features quite unique and even somewhat scary, although I am sure he ie pretty harmless.

Hi Daniel,
Quite an impressive portrait indeed... especially with that bleeding piece of raw meat hanging right next to his face! Well thought compo....
Cheers.

Salut Daniel,
Pris.

The sparkle in his eye...
He has noticed you, Daniel. And he has noticed you badly...
And the meat hanging over his head... Must be stinky over there.
And yes, a marvellous face and location to make photos.
You make me worry. How will we find such original places to attract and inspire you?
ps: i wonder the other half of the photo which is hidden under the laaaarge white border >:P
Ciao,
Deniz

hello Daniel, this is so funny, both he and you share a sense of fun. There is something grotesque about the hanging meat and the pop eyed buthcer. Looks like he enjoys his job. Also, it feels like this could be a double portrait...both gruesome! :D

Salut Daniel,

O’ Mighty Zhang-Fei and his hands soaking with blood !!!
Now… That’s a face only mother can love :-)))
Allow me Daniel, to use my imagination and perceive the things that are not even there…!
Next to the right side of his diaper head there is a chunk of meat in there… Right ?
Have a closer look…
I can see in there a wide open mouth, the tongue quite visible and the white teeth in the bottom gums of the mouth…!!!
Above - a gigantic, somehow distorted nose !
And - going even further – you can visualize an eye to the left…Ha !
And finally… That’s his very own head hanging down there… On the butcher’s hook …
Un-canning similarity…
OK… OK…
So, I had one shot of vodka too many… Big deal…!
But The head is THERE….!!!
Isn’t it…?
………………..
Great stuff, buddy boy… Keep that shutter hot

“features quite unique” – what a polite way of saying it!!!
This a true portrait without any beauty touch! I love it. Well done.

Hi Daniel,
Absolutely wonderful, this picture. I especially like the butcher's expression. His eyes (one big, one small) and his mouth give him a sort of evil look, but without really being very harmful. Bizar and interesting shot!

Hello Daniel,

Daniel,
Amazing portrait !
The compo with the two elements is fantastic, and contrasts, light and tones are perfect... Great one !

Hola!
An interesting portrait, not common...not beauty ;-) but you where there catching this moment and this man in his place of work. The piece of meal, hanging next to the man, with this expression of the man makes a great uncommonly composition,...scary too.
hasta la vista,
Javier

Hola Daniel.
Interesting portrait of the butcher, his face has an impressive expression and the piece of meat besides him looks sharp and real.
Good POV and clarity, colors and sharpness are very good.
Well done.
Best regards.

Cher Daniel !
Amicalement,
Cath.

Hi Daniel,
Now call me a weirdo, but I had to giggle when I opened
this portrait and saw it in full size. Why? Because it
instantly reminded me of Peter Sellers as Pink Panther!
Wonderful portrait - presence of a lump of raw meat hanging
right next to his face gives this portrait another
dimension!

daniel
a very strange portrait, not usual. His right eyes is so open and has light while the other is the opposite, his mouth show us he was a little preoccupied about the photo, something shy. The crude meat show us more about him and the place. strong view, full of meaning. well done

Hola Daniel.
