Another shot from the magical city of Palmyra, this time from one of the best preserved parts of the colonnaded terrace.

Whilst it my look like selective colour was used on this shot, it is in fact the way the shot turned out due to the overcast conditions.

Hi Julian,
Magical light & atmosphere. Your overcast sky gives a nice dramatic effect especially against the opposing spot light from the ground. Best Regards. Latiff.

hello Julan, great light, angel and compo. Also I think it is good that there are those people for comparism of the hight of object, tfs.

Hey Julian,

An imposing view. The overcast indeed created some spectacular views, which would otherwise be hard to come across. I like the perspective too, adjust - without a doubt - for the weather conditions. This way you crated fine proportions between the interesting weather and the main motive - the ancient structure.

Best regards.

Hello Julian,
Fine composition and great colours and light. I loved Palmyra, especially since I had it almost to myself. Hardly any tourists at all.
Regards,
Gert

Hi Julian,
Nice and dramatic with those threatening grey clouds contrasting with the golden structure. Good point of view and vertical format emphasises the height of the pillars, and the two people give a good sense of scale to the shot. I am sure this place would have a completely different feeling with a blue sky.
Regards
Wanda
