Photographer’s Note
“The F/A-18 Hornet” is the name of this photo and it is a beautiful sight to behold. This photo was taken today at an air show at the St .John’s Airport. Using high speed action mode, I took a number of photos as this jet was cruising at 1000 km. Some information about this plane includes:
The McDonnell Douglas (now Boeing) F/A-18 Hornet is an all-weather carrier-capable multi-role fighter jet, designed to attack both ground and aerial targets. The F/A-18 was derived from the YF-17 in the 1970s for use by the United States Navy and Marine Corps. The Hornet is also used by the air forces of several other nations. It has been the aerial demonstration aircraft for the U.S. Navy's Flight Demonstration Squadron, the Blue Angels, since 1986.

Hi Jim,
Wonderful capture of speed. Too bad the sky doesn't add more drama...but that is mother nature for you.
Cheers!

Hi Jim
I agree with the other critique. Excellent example here of capturing high speed in great focus and clarity.
A blue sky would have made the already excellent photo even better, but thats certainly not by your doing!
Great job here
nicely done
Craig
