Photographer’s Note
Chimney Corner, Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada
I carry an older manual camera, a Nikon FM-2, as a backup. While traveling from Inverness Cape Breton along the western shore of the island to Cheticamp I photographed this scene. I used a digital, then as an afterthought I decided to also shoot it with film. The Nikon FM-s had been loaded with a 1600 ASA/ISO film several months previously! When scanned, I preferred the film version due to the grain effect.
