In Rigaud at "Sucrerie de la Montagne" all the buildings are made of wood with a stone foundation. Here we see an old red baril that was used in the past for the harvesting of maple sap.

Nina, I love the details here. Such neat lines! Your framing and composition are lovely (cosy?), and I really would love to go to a maple farm.

When I saw the thumbnail I thought it looked like a painting and when I opened it up, there it was - a perfect painting made by a camera. I love the straight lines made by the bare trees and the old wood and stone of the building. The red banding on the barrel just brings the picture to life. A lovely capture, and not too far from where I live, so I could visit there one day. Is is near Auberge des Gallants? A fine place to dine.

Very detailed image and good composition. All the trees makes nice vertical lines, but I find them too sharp. Some softness would make it more harmonic for me...

I think this is really extremely beautiful with all its vertical and horizontal lines of similar texture..They all look alike and somehow separated with clean lines and the scenery comes out...

Very nice colors and sharpness. So much detail is visible in this. The logs of the house and the trees really match nicely. Can think they're still alive. I really like the boards filling in the pediment. The red barrel stands out nicely from everything else. Very nicely photographed.
