wow. innovative, intimate, perfectly balanced. i love the way the color of the number and your name match the color of his/her hair; it creates a continuity from the picture out in the frame.
Well George, the question could as well be: "What is it
like to be straight?", no?
And yes, of course, if the guys wear make-up, and if the
gals act masculine - no problem you can say they're gay
with 100% certainty... but what about numorous others
that don't act gay, those with 'straight' appearance?
Hmmm... okay... I understand - these (that are not in
minority) are not interesting from a photographic POV...,
or are they?
;-D
Have a good weekend,

Shift. Cropped. Blurry. Colored. Excessive. Strong.
A glance ont it, and we know it is a gay.
Ultime sublimation, said Ninal : I fully agree.
A master piece.
Ultimate sublimation...
You have reached ( and enriched) here, the art of voyeurism (YES ! The voyeurism !), and of the ultimate sublimation: So much with so little…
Beautiful, unusual, unique...
A piece of art...

Gay or not gay , I do not care. This is a important pic, like a dream. The colours are so soft, and the whole image is a sweet fancy that one looks in the deep of his sleep and, the day after, he hardly remembers. Bravo, George. Wonderful, George. You: wonderful.

Well, What is it like to be a gay...? Well I think being yourself, or I should say there is nothing special, just another human been... Quite a topical regard toward homosexuality. I am homosexual and I am very, very far from him although I respect, after all they were the first to say "stop!" and then we all started to have some rights. Nontheless I know you know what I mean because you have portrait it in some other photos.
About this one, I like it, George, and I just give 1 point insted of 2 becuase i think 12 is a rather cute number compare with 13... You know, gay people always thinking in the aesthetic side of life. Take care my friend.

As you want answers, I did my research:
gay /geɪ/ adjective, -er, -est, noun, adverb
–adjective
1. having or showing a merry, lively mood: gay spirits; gay music.
2. bright or showy: gay colors; gay ornaments.
3. given to or abounding in social or other pleasures: a gay social season.
4. licentious; dissipated; wanton: The baron is a gay old rogue with an eye for the ladies.
5. homosexual.
(Dictionary.com Unabridged (v 1.1))
Conclusion: if your question (What is it like to be a gay...?) refers to definition #5, the answer is composed by four parts of definitions #1 till #4 and one part of definition #5.
I guess the gays (of definition #5) have more features of #1 till #4 than the non-gays.
That is: I guess that sexuality (or homosexuality) is not the most important distinctive trait of a gay (homosexual, lesbian) individual.

Maybe these are not the desired answers, but I feel like to put it in a simpler way.
Well, maybe I didn't achieve that goal. (I can always blame my failure owing to my poor level of English language to express my thoughts :-)

As I don't use green makakas (I'm sorry brother) I put already this under comment, to minimize the chances of removal.

And about the photo: there is a brighter pixel below the nose.
Enjoy your weekend,
