Photographer’s Note
This is another spot almost all photographers visiting the Rockies area take a shot of Mt Rundle through the reflections of Vermilion Lake.
I spent about an hour there, the weather was nice, although I'd prefer more clouds. Mosquitos became the only problem, had to fight them while taking the shots.

This is a pretty decent image without technically problems. The mountain looks great in sunset light but I find that it is a bit too small, leaving the image imbalanced. The grass in the foreground isn't appealing enough to deserve this much space. Cropping the lower part of the image to obtain a square format might be an interesting experiment.

Hi, Jonathan -
I have to take issue with Roland's critique; to my eye, the fg does appeal, as it shows the expanse of nature. On the other hand :-) I think the black cloud in the UR could be cropped out with no loss.
Great light control and clarity, a real nice shot.
Regards,
Dan
