Perspective at Sulphur Mountain Photo

Photographer’s Note

Some daytrippers in front of me, heading back to the Sulphur Mountain Cablecar, for the last gondola down the mountain, at 5pm. This lookout gives a wonderful, almost 360 degree panorama, of the magnificent Canadian Rockies.

If you look carefully, you'll see a big, red & white Canadian flag, in front of the terminus.

Quel panorama ! la vue est splendide depuis les hauteurs.
Et puis, cet escalier qui se promène à travers la montagne avec les personnages colorés, tout donne à la composition une réelle beauté.

Hi Chris,

The presence of the people has an effect of scale. The point of view leadss our eyes toward the mountains which is giving depth to the composition. The trees are framing well the mountains. The late afternoon light is enhancing the colors of the mountain scenery. Have a nice day.

I think I've already seen this location in one of your photographs in your gallery! But, it's surely a bit different and, as I think I can recall it, I think I prefer this one for its pov, composition, sharpness, exposure and colors! This one is very beautiful and interesting!

nice POV, The colour and clarity are very good, allowing us to see everything so clearly that it's almost like being there. The shadows of the barrier adds so much to this scene.

This is a wonderful combination of nature and man-made. The wooden stairs, and in particular the side railings with their shadows, provide excellent graphics and even mimic the mountail peaks. They also lead us into the scene perfectly.

What a point of view!
My eyes wanted to record everything at once so I'm not sure whether I saw the mountains or the people on the pathway first! That's evidence of an exciting shot!

Fantastic diving POV! The sharpness and the transmission of colours are impeccable. The top of the trees and how they are arranged on the visual field harmonize very well with the sharp top of the mountains. There is an aesthetically pleasing integration of elements here, with a photogenic and discreet symmetry.
