Photographer’s Note
I was standing on the trail where the Hoodoos are located in Banff National Park looking down at Bow River which winds its way around the town of Banff. If you look closely at the lower right you will see a canoe passing through the glacier river. From where I stood I only needed a focal length of 200mm to capture this photo. The slender alpine trees and beautiful glacial waters are typical of this area. I do believe now that its the attractive colors in this area that will bring me back here again. Enjoy the view.

Paul
Beau point de vue sur cette très belle rivière. La couleur bleue est incroyable (est-ce la réalité ou un effet dû à la luminosité du moment?)

Hello Paul,
You use a very lovely colour, as well as for the pinetrees as for the river.
The canoe is example a small point on the river.
Lovely soft landscape picture in a wonderful area, sharpness and clarity are nice.
Very well composition and soft colours, TFS.
Have a nice day,
John.

Hi Paul.
Long time no see etc.
The blue and green is glorious in this shot. You had a great vantage point. Great positioning of the lone canoe, too. I saw glacial water this colour on the glacier coast of New Zealand's south island a few years ago. Terrific sharpness and detail from that distance.

Ciao Paul,
piacevole vista dall'alto su questo fiume, mostrando così una parte morfologica del suo percorso.
Bello il contrasto cromatico tra il blu dell'acqua e il verde degli alberi.
Well done!

Hello Paul,
I never get tired of seeing photos from Banff. It is such a gorgeous place. This photo has a perfect balance of blue water and green trees, and it is great that you were able to capture that canoe passing by. The high POV also allows us to enjoy a wider view of this amazing scene. It is simply beautiful!

Hi Paul
Very nice dominant POV, very good for meditation about life and nature.
Great place.
I suggest you for a next time to try to shut at f/8 or f/11 to get more DOF in the left corner foreground.
Good luck for your next picturs
Best regards
