Photographer’s Note

Lake Louise in the Canadian Rockies is one of the most popular destinations for visitors of the area. It offers a ski resort in the winter, a sighsteeing gondola in the summer, many great hiking and horseback riding trails, a canoe rental house, and two teahouses serving hikers in the higher elevations. The lake itself provides beautiful reflections in the morning sun, with the Victoria Glacier in the center of the classic view. Flowers and boulders ring the front walkway where crowds of tourists without wide angle lenses do ther best to capture the wonderful scenery. Even with the crowds, it is well worth the visit as a couple hour hike can take one well away from the crowds and provide a beautiful slice of the Canadian Rockies.
