Photographer’s Note
When Andre and I were driving up to Moraine lake from Lake Louise everything was covered in beautiful fresh snowfall. We were wanting to photograph Moraine lake and the surrounding valley of the ten peaks but did not have much hope with the sky covered. But when we arrived and after several hours of waiting it cleared up for a short while, enough time to get some nice shots of the peaks and the lake.
See Andre's shot here of the view we finally had.

Hoi Wanda,
Goed weekeinde toegewenst,
Harko

June 9th !? Are you sure Wanda ?
I experienced the same situation on the same road but this was in september and even then I thought it was quite unusual !
I like this image where the light is quite present
The road running in the diagonal leads us towards a better weather
have a nice WE

Hi Wanda
June 9th... mmmh seems I have to consider Canada again when planning my next holiday, middle of october and still haven't seen a snow flake here ! Nice perspective tracing between the trees, but Canon Canada Inc. should consider betting more than Nikon for sponsoring the middle of the rooad ;-)
Have a nice day JY

Hello Wanda.
A stunning picture, full of interest. The perspective effect is great, and the clearing cloud around the mountain makes a spectacular focal point. I also really like the way the cloud is swirling around the trees on the left. Now to look at Andre's shot...
Regards,
Andrew

Hi Wanda!
I remember this cold morning, where banana milk was the ultimate breakfast... :-P)
Going up that road, we were so impressed by the beautiful fresh snow that we were torn apart between choosing to stop along the way to catch the moment or to keep on driving to make sure to get the proper light...
We will never know if we have miss the most ever beautiful light at Moraine Lake, but those shots along the road worth the stops. It's very charming even for a "nordic" guy like me, so I guess it's even more significant for you.
It's really representative of the feeling we had this morning, alone in this vast nature.
Cheers!
André

Wandiana,
I had not seen this one...it's amazing! I so much prefer this too all those (still amazing) shots on the side of the lakes. I feel part of the scenery. I like the fog and the curved road. But what I like the most is this rich orange color on the mountain in the background. Seems like the mountain is stretching to catch the first rays of sun!
I love it! Isn't Canada a beautiful place!!??
au revoir;)

Hi Wanda,
... and I thought the weather was bad when I ws there, I guess it snowed on you too. But I was there in August, it still snow and cloudy. At least it clear up somewhat for you for some nice shots. It actually look very beautiful with all the snow cover pine trees and the glymps of the mountain. Excellent shot.
