Photographer's Note

Before going to sleep, I had closed the curtains over the door (and windows) of the hotel room. I do find that the darkness facilitates sleep. On the Sunday morning I had walked to the windows/door. As I took a peak out,I noticed that I had a guest grazing quietly and independently in the grounds up from the lake. She had still to shed her winter coat, as the winter appears to be somewhat extended in Jasper National Park. Note: There was some snowfall today, June 19, 2019, in parts of both British Columbia and Alberta.

"Elk" is also known as "Wapiti".
