Photographer's Note
Prairie grain elevators once dotted western Canada, storage for farmers crops. Now the majestic sentinals are being demolished. The elevators were built on concrete foundations and stand 70-80 feet high with a gable at the top to accommodate the elevating machinery. Inside are 16 or 18 storage bins. The outer walls consist two-by-six boards laid flat and spiked together to withstand the pressure as the bins are filled

Hi Curtis.
I love the photo, the nostalgia, the note. And a good b/w conversion that has a real timeless quality about it. I can't find anything in the shot that dates it as 21st century. Well, maybe the white roller door. Perhaps I would increase the contrast just a very small amount, but I realise that it might detract from the 'old' quality of the picture. I'd also try to remove the small amount of lens distortion - or do the buildings have a 'natural' lean? Nice work, anyway.
Regards,
Andrew
