The Rockies, a photo from Alberta, Prairies

Photographer's Note

This photo is taken on a flight from Kelowna to Calgary, so I might be wrong placing it in Alberta. If someone knows whether this is B.C. or Alberta, or even the names of these peaks, I would be happy for your input and will update my description accordingly. Thanks.

The photo is taken on New Year's Eve, late in the afternoon, with the sun amost setting.

Los siento pero no te puedo informar de este lugar, el cual encuentro estupendo.

Para ser una imagen desde avión, has sacado una muy buena imagen, de estas montañas con sus reflejos y las nubes, unos coloridos estupendos.

Wow, this is an amazing image, and one of the very few shots taken from a commercial airplane that is worth showing to others. You had excellent light and it looks like it was a very low flight. I wish I could recognize the mountain chain, but I cant... It is certainly not the most familiar viewing angle and there sure are lots of mountains between Kelowna and Calgary. The thin clouds complement the mountains nicely and you choose a good format to emphasize the composition.

Bonjour Dagmar,
The play of the light on the various faces of mountains is wonderful. It reminds me in a painting Cubist.
I like the various alternations, the shadows, the light, the neatness and the vagueness with the appearance of clouds.
