Autumn has Sprung Photo

Photographer’s Note

Finally Autumn seems as if it has come to life here in Vancouver. And finally the rain has stopped falling, allowing me to wonder out into our beautiful city.

This photo was taken in Vancouver, at Sutclife Park, located in the False Creek area. People who live here often jog the stone walkway each morning.

I was lucky to grab this photo when i did, because the natural light from the sunrise had very quickly faded away due to cloud coverage. About 2 minutes after this photo, it became completely dark and dreary.

one day I'd like to fly to Canada and see those wonderful warm autumnal colors with my eyes...anyway, for now it's good looking at your pics: it's out of usual clichè this urban view with trees in red and green in the FG.Well done!

It's a beautiful shot with really beautiful colors. I like it ! I particularly like the red trees which are very attractive. Reflections are also very nice.
I'm interested by this morning atmospher your photo frees : so much calm ! Very pleasant to look at. Really nice shot !
I just think sharpness and contrasts would have been improved a little. I put an example in WS to show you.

It's a bit (too) bright at places but it's a nice skyline photo with added fall colors bonus. You might want to check the gallery of unfortunately no longer active member "Cormac" for inspiration.

A good skyline shot of this area. At first glance I thought it was Coal Harbour. Anyway the scene is one of tranquility in the city with excellent colours and reflections.

Good morning Craig. I really like the arrangement of the elements in this frame with the high rises, the boats, and greenery. Of particular interest is the red trees that catch the attention in the frame. Of course the side lighting and mirror water make this photo a classic. Great work Craig on this one.

You have a pleasant gallery here, Craig!
Varied content even if most is urban scenes like this one!
The point of view across the marina works well, not the least since the water has great mirror quality...
Great angle of light adds a fine 3D effect to the buildings, and the touch of autumn makes a fine contrast!
But the border??? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....

Maybe is winter in Canada not the best place for being there BUT Autum is season best presented in Canada.No other country have so great Autumn!!!!!

Vancouver!!! A city where I can hire a car and drive around for leisure :) I did that twice :) even with a police reminder at Chinatown :p

This is a classic! Such a lovely autumn scene. The reflection is fantastic and what more to ask of the touch of green and autumn leaves at the left side!
