Photographer’s Note
While walking the streets of the downtown business district of Vancouver, i came accross this restored Hotel.
The shape and design of the window sill, window frames, and the flowerpots, all reminded me of being back in Paris.
For all of you living in Europe, I'm sure you see these types of Hotel windows alot. But trust me, there aren't too many windows in Vancouver that look like this - i couldn't resist to stop and take a closer look.
For anyone visiting vancouver or even living here, try it out, try to find similar windows. I bet you'll find your search frustrating!
Its these little things in life that must be observed.
Of course i forgot to observe the name of the Hotel! I was more concerned at the time just trying to keep my hands and fingers warm!
I appreciate your feedback
Thanks everyone
Craig

Hi Craig,
The picture is amazing and very well centered. The duotone of the building (which is nice) More is more beautiful with flowers and greenery. The opposition of flowers, the picture really pulls the look of each.

Bonjour Craig
la ressemblance avec des photos que j'ai déjà vus de Paris est très bonne avec ces petits balcons fleuris, bien vu mon ami.

Hi Craig
An excellent pattern shot that as you say could be anywhere in Europe. Good balance and you chose three windows. Odd numbers are always more pleasing to the eye. Well done.

Hi Craig,
Very nicely composed image showing the charm of life in the city. Sometimes it is not easy to find. Great symetry here. color combination of the building and of the pation plants work very. Good observation and well executed shot. Love the sharpness but soft texture of the overall qualtiy. thanks

Hello Craig
Great tight, close up view of these windows. Good details shown with the brickwork and with all the crown molding. Good clarity. I like your choice of frame as it mimics the black panes of the window. Too bad Vancouver doesn't have more buildings like this as it is quite attractive. However, then travelling to Europe wouldn't be as exciting and interesting then would it?
Have a great trip to Vegas next month. I will be looking forward to seeing your photos (wink, wink).

Craig
Joli cadrage de ces fenêtres esthétiques. Peut-être aurais-je essayé de redresser quand même les verticales?

Hi Craig,
I would not recognize this as a Vancouver façade. It really reaminds of a Paris one :) Very good approach and lovely symmetry. Lighting is quite natural and pleasant. The crop is also to my taste. I like this a lot. I've just posted another version in the ws with lens correction. Hope you like it. Great job!

Carlos
