Photographer's Note

Continuing with my theme from Vancouver, of areas which I don't usually post from, here we have another scene I captured late at night while cruising the streets and sidewalks.

Because I took this handheld and quite late at night with very little light, the man isn't perfectly focused. However, given the circumstances I'm happy with it.

This was taken along Granville street. Granville street is most commonly known for being the party area of Vancouver. Lots of nightclubs/danceclubs, bars, music venues, and a few places where you can get a tattoo if you're heart so desires it.

I was photographing the tattoo store, when I noticed this cool looking man with his hat, beard, and casual attire strolling towards me. I pretended to continue focusing in on the Tattoo sign and store, trying not to be TOO obvious that I'm wanting to photograph him and make him upset.

There's just something about this scene that I like, its gritty nature and gritty man seem to go hand in hand.
