Photographer’s Note
I woke up a half hour earlier than usual before going to work, as i knew there would be a clear sky sunrise
So on my way to work i pulled over to capture this scenery.
The location is in Surrey, Cloverdale near the #1 Hwy onramp.
The sunrise you see here is 100% real, with No colour saturation. All i did in photoshop was brighten the overall scene as it was a little dark.
I enjoy the cold-crisp-dew-frost sunrises the most!
Hope you enjoy this
Regards
Craig

Hello Craig,
indeed, the colors are amazing. Totally worth a stop.
you perfectly follow the rule of 1/3 here, however, the lower part is a tad uninteresting compared to the flashy sky and sort of unbalances the compo. I can see the frosty grass, but it's not evident enough. that's only an opinion...
Finally, I think it would have helped using a smaller aperture to have a really deep depth of field. That's usually something landscape shooter are looking for.
Have a good day,
Marc

Craig:
The image brings the cold sensation of the climate in the photo.
Very nice colours, all the people seems to be sleeping yet.

Gilberto.

Craig,
Your photos really remind me of the place I grew up, even though I grew up decidedly south of where you are. Looking at this picture I can feel that particular type of frost and the quality of the air on a morning like that. I love the unorganized state around the barn and shed that due to the light and shapes is still beautiful. Great shot.
Sincerely,
Kate

Hello Craig,
Looking at the frost on the grass I can feel the cold morning but looking at the sky I feel a new day is starting in a wonderful way.

Hello Craig,
What a sunrise! The colours are amazing. With photos like this, it is almost hard to believe that they have not been doctored, but sometimes a photographer is lucky (and clever enough to anticipate this and get up a bit earlier :-) ). Love these rural houses, too. Perfect composition with perfect adherence to the rule of thirds.
TFS and have a nice weekend, Dasha

Well done Craig
The colours are magnificent. You managed to catch some warm tones on the grass as well. Also by brightening up the scene we see detail in the buildings. It is a nice mix of warm and cold.

Hi Craig
You sure are dedicated by getting up early before work to do photography. You have one on me. But with this photo you captured a lovely, NATURAL sunrise. I love all the pink tones and then finally some orange in the corners of the frame. I like how you left all the dewy grass in the FG as it balances out the photo and it reminds me of the colder, damp mornings we get here in Canada at this time of year. What you have here is a natural scene captured by a techinically gifted photographer. And a good looking one too (hee hee).
Love ya,
Tosca

Hi Craig,
I guess in full day light this place looks a bit messy while this beautiful light is enhancing the atmosphere of this place. The early bird catches the worm! Fantastic colors and a very well working POV on the houses. My compliments!
Warm regards

Salut Craig,
Emilius

Hi Craig
Again the light work it very good on the subject. The sky color reflect on the roofs a mystic purple glowing like a UV light. I like the mist on the ground. Well done.

Hi Craig,
I really enjoy the view at dawn, clear to see everythings while the environment still a bit dim, very nice colorful sky and the field seem shining by soft sunlight too, the posture of trees are beautiful, thanks for sharing a poetic view at early morning.

Craig,
This is a well composed sunrise shot! The angle of the photo gives the scene depth while the rolling field leads the eye into the shot nicely. The lighting and colors are great as is the photo's sharpness. The beautiful sky coloration is what makes this shot.

Bonjour Craig,
un moment exceptionnel ici avec cdes lumières très douces mais surtout, des couleurs chaudes et fortes pour ce ciel particulièrement réussi.
Je pense que j'aurais cadré un iren plus haut.
Mes compliments.
Daniel.

Hi Craig,
The sunrise is giving nice colors to the sky, to the field and to the buildings. The trees are framing well the buildings. The point of view is showing the details and colors of them. Well done, have a nice day.
