Here's an image from down by the river near where I live taken as the last leaves of autumn were falling. The low cloud and fog in the distance adds a nice touch of the cool autumn days ahead - most mornings are like this in early November. Un beau paysage d'automne avec ces feuilles tombées au premier plan et les arbres colorés sur l'autre rive. L'arrière plan est aussi très agréable avec ces nuages recouvrant les sommets montagneux.

This shot creates very melancholy pre-winter mood. Summer is hiding in clouds and fog and only orange strip of trees is leaving memory...

I'm a sucker for river shots but when you add brilliant foliage and cloud encrusted mountains reflecting in the river I'm blow away.
This one is a reall stunner that is tastefully framed.

I like the FG island which adds a lot to DOF and the way the diagonal of the clouds/mountains and the river come together. The reflection and the colors are lovely as well.

beautiful seen indeed! What I like here is the contrast between the golden foreground with the silver cloudy mountains in the back. Lighting is really pleasant and natural and the details are superb. Well done!

Hi Gerald,
While the weather has cool down quite a bit, but the light and color on this one is certainly warm with golden tone and reddish bronw. Even the water is warm with the reflection of the golden leave. I like how the clouds is hovering between the forrest and mountain, giving the whole scenery a mytic feeling and atmosphere. Thanks.

hello Gerald,
you're right about clouds and fog adding a nice touch, I find they emphasise the melancholic mood that is so typical of autumn. the composition also works really well, I like a lot the strong lines that lead the eye diagonally across the photo and create layers of colours and textures. nice one :)
