Photographer’s Note
Her sister was boisterous, hopping up and down beside their parents. She, immersed in her own world, with closed eyes, turned her head towards me from the little buggy in which she was put to sit.
As so often, again I had no time to lose, and handheld as always.

Salut Sarlota,
Habituellement, je ronchonne toujours sur les portraits quand on ne voit pas correctement le regard.
Ici, c’ést tout le contraire, ces yeux fermés font toutes la force de cette image !
C’est magique, plein d’émotions !
J’adore cette image
Super travail
Amicalement

Wow Sarolta...a very stunning capture here. The lighting on the face makes it look like a painting. Really beautiful!

This portrait is very captivating, there is so much expression and mood in that face and even something slightly disturbing, ghostlike, maybe from the pale face floats in the darkness and the very subtle differences of in- and out-of-focus parts begins to dissolve the body into the surroundings. The fact that she looks away from the camera is very important to keep the mood of this photo. Excellent.

Your Asian kid series is excellent, Sarolta from Little budha (twice) to this wonderful, pensive little girl. These are the farthest away from snapshots, let me tell you, they even have a kind of studio quality in the light.
NIKON really ought to contact you for their brochures!
Really fine work,
Francis

what a great portrait..
usually it wouldn't be good with the eyes shut like this or looking down.
In that case it creates a beautiful expression.
very nice..

Hi Sarolta
an excellent portrait that speaks a lot on itself by the dreamy expression, very well captured with a good soft sharpness and sepia, like it very much.
