Photographer’s Note
Last week I caught this sunset photo at the Fraser River. This is a half a mile west from Peg Leg. The slow moving water is perfect for relfections like this. I thought the mirror cloud patterns made this scene interesting.
Captured in raw format and then transfered into jpeg you can see the details in the clouds. I am certain that shooting in jpeg would look alot different.
This is also dedicated to all TE members who have stopped by this year and have helped me in a trememdous way this year. Seasons Greetings to one and all!

The effect of sun captured looks like diamond on some ornament.
The reflection is great over water and very nice effect on sky also.
The trees and some city part in the dark is making a real sense for this great shot.
Thanks for sharing.

Hi Paul,
This is a beautiful picture, a perfect one in fact, to thank you TE members who help you this year. I say that because it is like a mirror, as your title says it well. So I can say, without hesitation, that you helped so many people with your critics, with your nice words, with your beautiful pictures that shows the way to shoot wonderful landscapes. You helped me. And I'm grateful for this. Seasons Greetings to you too!
About this picture, the silhouettes are great, the sun with its rays is very beautiful and the way you managed the light is just perfect. Thanks!

Hey Paul. I like how you have gone wide-angle with this style. Also I love the silhouettes and the sky. You could turn this one upside down as well and no one would notice the difference! A most beautiful shot from the Fraser Paul!

Stunning shot Paul! The perfect reflection is really breathtaking, the composition is just right. The clouds add a lot of interest, and the sun just above the horizon is great timing. I like the saturated colour too - welcome to the ranks of the raw shooters, it's the only way to go!

Beautiful mirror effect of this sunset. The reflection is so clear that I guess that if you will turn the photo upside down, we will hardly notice. Very well exposed to capture light and colors properly. Great work, Paul!

Hi Paul,
Magnific capture and composition. The colours are impressive and the reflection of the clouds in the water is superb! The result of the transferring into jpeg is very good. The problem of scanning is a big deal for me (I have hundreds of shots without enough quality to post...and the ones I have in digital format are from my Ixus, which is very limited - to take really good shots it's not easy!).
I love the peaceful mood and the smoothness of the water surface.
Congratulations!
TFS,
Have a wonderful Christmas to you and your family!

Hi Paul,
You chose a very great moment exactly as the sun the most beautiful to the sky can see.
Absolutely a placid place lovely environment for a good strolls or bike trip. Soft and very nice for looking.
My best wishes for a happy and healthy year 2006
John.

Paul,
I really like this shot. It's great that the water was so calm at that time. The little bit of sun contrasts the darkness of the sky perfectly.
Thanks.

Bonsoir Paul,
J'aime ce soleil qui fait penser à du métal en fusion entre deux montagnes. Et tout ça avec un reflet de toute beauté. C'est du très beau travail !
Joyeuses fêtes !

The reflection is perfect : the cloud reflects like mist upon the water. You had a great light management.
