Photographer's Note

This is a shot of the Chaudiere River near Quebec City, from a lookout in a regional park. The reddish rock is coloured because of oxidation of the iron in the fine grained sediment. Note the layers of coarser grained sandstone (beige) which stand out because they are harder and less susceptible to erosion.
Curves and saturation were used.
